Preview of Painting Copper and Plums with Elizabeth Robbins

This copper pitcher is very special to me,  It was given to me by my good friend and mentor Mary Jo Leisure.  I have painted it numerous times and am so excited to demonstrate a version of it for you.  I have always been challenged by the wonderful patina.  I love painting metals, especially copper and my objective for this lesson is to keep it very quiet with gentle color transitions.

Painting purple plums with the copper is quite exciting, but by adding purple into the copper and orange into the plums, one can unify both elements into the painting.  In this video, I would like you to learn to be confident painting metal so that it shines and how to keep harmony in a close color range.  I hope you are inspired to paint!
